How DioxiCare Can Be Used to Improve Oral Health?

DioxiCare is a two-part system. When mixed, it generates different oxidants, and chlorine dioxide is one of the gases it releases. The gas dissipates over time after activation, so it must be used immediately to maintain its effect.

This system is used to treat a range of oral health issues, and we’re explaining them in detail here.

Treatment of Halitosis

DioxiCare oxidizes various sulfur compounds that cause bad breath. It is not like other chemicals that just mask the smell with mint.

The compound penetrates the plaque and biofilm layers to kill hidden bacteria (without straining the teeth). Dry mouth is a common condition that encourages odor-causing bacteria. DioxiCare also reduces bacterial load in such patients.

Its protocol for halitosis is really simple. When you wake up or before bed, use a tongue scraper and a toothbrush to remove the white coating at the back of your tongue. Now, you can saturate a piece of gauze with DioxiCare and wipe the back of the tongue with it.

Gum Disease & Irritation

The DioxiRinse is a two-part combination that is mixed when you actually want to use. It immediately activates the chlorine dioxide. Its powerful action forces the solution deep into periodontal pockets and between teeth. It even targets the braces if the bacteria hide there.

Similarly, the menthol in the mixture soothes irritation caused by injuries or extractions. You can even treat the canker sores with it.

Its routine use is also very simple. You need to mix the two parts, then swish for 30-60 seconds. Now, gargle the back of the throat to clear the tongue. You can even add it to the dental irrigator if you’re going to do deeper pocket flushing.

Stain Removal in Teeth

When you mix the two-part DioxiCare System, it releases the active chlorine dioxide. Now, this gas releases tiny bubbles that quickly react with organic stains, removing them from tooth enamel.

The stains in our teeth and gums also form a sticky film. The ingredients in DioxiRinse loosen that coating and also lift the biofilm that stores food pigments. Similarly, DioxiBrite is frequently used to protect enamel with phosphate, so you can lighten your teeth without harsh scrubbing (which can damage the surface).

Hygiene of Appliances

The DioxiCare chemical is also used to maintain cleanliness in oral appliances like retainers, aligners, and dentures. It easily penetrates hard-to-reach areas where other chemicals fall short.

First and foremost, the DioxiCare solution is mixed in a cup. Then the appliances (like aligners or retainers) are submerged in the mixture. They should be allowed to soak for 1-2 minutes so all the bacteria and yeast can be fully eliminated.

After 2 minutes, remove the appliances and rinse them with running water before putting them back in your mouth.

Bottom Lines

Talking to your healthcare provider is important to know how and when you need the system. It will help you avoid the side effects and get the most out of the treatment.
